In my opinion GW is (unfortunately) dying.

There are still many players but from a PvE aspect the game is dead.
After Ursan crashed ecto prices alot of people lost money, and the Ursan noobs gained it throwing the game off (for me at least) don't get me wrong there are still plent of things to do but PUGs are out of the question. Guildies and Heros are about the only way to go nowadays

PvE can still be very fun if you find a good guild that will help you a lot. At least ursan was nerfed and ecto went up agian to about 4.5k. but with the nerf a bunch of people quit because they couldn't use a real build. (please don't make a discussion about ursan noobs or whatever, just my opinion.) All the quiet on GW2 hasent helped much. No one knows what exactly the HoM will do in GW2(if it ever comes out), and so dont have much motivation to play and dec out there hall.

There are groups around, but really if you want an active group of players to do dungeons and elite missions with, you'll want to join a good guild. There are a number of large PvE alliances that you can find recruiting in places like Kamadan (dist 1 is big).

Yup, find yourself a good active guild. Just bumbling your way into a staging area for a dungeon and looking for a group is not the way to go(unless you happen to be a masochist).

And no, GW ain't quite dead yet. But the population is pretty spread out.

Find a fun and most of all nice guild to hang out with and share interests. That makes GW worth everything . Also, there are a lot of haters in GW so watch out xD.
